A world class precision and tooling facility in Penang is looking for a proactive and results-driven buyer practitioner to oversee the procurement operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
- Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers
- Work with production, scheduling, sales, and design teams to determine the most optimal purchasing strategy for a given job/project.
- Monitor purchase demand and place orders, ensuring order confirmation and report to the organization any due date problems or potential shortages
Job Requirements
- Experience in purchasing and sourcing for sheet metal, hardware and electronics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; Epicor will be an added advantage
- Good communication skills and presentable
