Accountant
A rapidly growing MNC in Bayan Lepas is looking for Accountant to be part of their team. You will be a key part of helping the business to manage financial records and preparing statements for regional offices, maintaining accurate financial information, budgeting, forecasting, and providing analysis-based recommendations to support strategic decisions, while collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve organizational and project goals.

Main responsibilities of the Accountant role  

  • Overseeing all financial and accounting transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow forecasting, monthly journal entries, and accruals.
  • Managing the month-end process and regularly monitoring outstanding items, such as Trial Balance reviews, advance payments, deposits, travel and credit card expenses, debtors, creditors, cash journals, assets, and liquidations.
  • Handling bank balances and fund requirements, while performing monthly reconciliations of account balances.
  • Administering budget management and financial forecasts.
  • Overseeing FTE/timesheet management.
  • Coordinating and responding to both external and internal audits related to banking, accounting, budget, and finance, and ensuring timely implementation of all audit recommendations.

 

 
Key requirements
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in accounting
  • At least 3 years of experience in finance.
  • Proven experience working collaboratively in a regional or global organization.
  • Strong ability to manage relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural and multidisciplinary setting.
  • Demonstrated experience working across teams in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Strong communication skills, especially in written English.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Windows-based software, particularly MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with reputable ERP systems like Oracle and SAP.
