Assistant Finance Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support month-end and year-end close process 
• Verify transactions and reconcile inventory, intercompany accounts receivable and payable 
• Spot errors in transaction posting and design rules and policies to govern transaction posting and prevent errors 
• Assist in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 
• Develop and document workflow, business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls 
• Be prepared to work with intra- and inter-departmental teams to develop and design workflow, business processes and accounting policies 
• Plan, assign and review junior staff’s work 
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures 
• Liaise with our Financial Manager and CFO to improve financial procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant 
• Relevant certification (e.g. CPA) will be preferred 
• Previous role as Assistant Accounting Manager, or equivalent, with minimum 5 years of experiences 
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and financial statements preparation 
• In-depth understanding and application of GAAP principles 
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process 
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages 
• Hands-on experience with ERP and its various modules and functionalities 
• Advanced MS Excel skills and functions 
• Accuracy and attention to detail 
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills 
• Awareness of business trends
