JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Verify transactions and reconcile inventory, intercompany accounts receivable and payable
- Spot errors in transaction posting and design rules and policies to govern transaction posting and prevent errors
- Assist in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Develop and document workflow, business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Be prepared to work with intra- and inter-departmental teams to develop and design workflow, business processes and accounting policies
- Plan, assign and review junior staff’s work
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Liaise with our Financial Manager and CFO to improve financial procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
- Relevant certification (e.g. CPA) will be preferred
- Previous role as Assistant Accounting Manager, or equivalent, with minimum 5 years of experiences
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and financial statements preparation
- In-depth understanding and application of GAAP principles
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
- Hands-on experience with ERP and its various modules and functionalities
- Advanced MS Excel skills and functions
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Awareness of business trends
