A leading MNC in the fashion retail industry is looking for an experienced Merchandiser to join their team. This role will be based at Petaling Jaya (near MRT).
Key Responsibilities:
Review weekly trading performance and achieved KPIs, identifying issues and the course of action in preparation for the weekly trading meetings
Weekly store visits
Propose and agree on actions to recover risk and maximise opportunities with the Buyer at category and line level
Forecasting any sales variance
Creations of OTB
Management of commitments by ensuring on-time delivery and rebuy cancellation
Markdown proposal
Promotions proposal
Manage the range plan in Season reflecting any changes
With the buyer, review previous season and capture the lessons learned and create the strategy for the department going forward
Plan the pre-scheduling to meet the range plan – in conjunction with Assistant Merchandisers
Overview the ratios for all buys in conjunction with Assistant Merchandiser
Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of working experience in the retail fashion industry as a Merchandiser
Analytical mindset
Numbers driven
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Regional exposure in merchandising/buying will be an added advantage
