This company is a major player in the repair of aircraft parts, they provide unrivalled cost-efficient repairs with market benchmark quality. They are looking for a Section Manager to join their team.
You will be responsible to:
Act as the Engineering Manager across various functions as needed, including Shop Floor Management (SFM) meetings, Management Meetings, Customer Reviews, OEM discussions, and Request for Quotation (RFQ) reviews.
Lead a team of engineers within their section, which typically involves training to ensure personnel are up-to-date with the latest methods, procedures, and requirements; allocating work and resolving issues; and participating in recruitment and performance evaluation decisions.
Ensure that all engineering guidelines and procedures for individual repairs released are implemented and maintained.
Review all engineering documentation for proper technical content, ensuring the standardization of engineering documents within the department, and compliance with approved engineering data.
Oversee the implementation of new repair scopes.
Research and analyze performance metrics for product groups.
Provide local support and resources for projects.
Establish procedures to maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and safety in product instructions.
Identify and implement continuous product improvements in terms of cost and Turn Around Time (TAT).
Be responsible for the reject rates of all product groups and implement enhancements to reduce these rates.
Identify opportunities to lower reject rates across all product groups.
You are required to have:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
At least 8 years of experience in Maintenance Repair and Overhaul within the aviation sector is highly advantageous.
At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role.
Possess a dynamic and tactful personality, high degree of professionalism and integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership qualities, results-oriented, with good follow-through and organizational skills.
Good knowledge and experience in one or more of the following special processes: TIG Welding, Plasma Spray, Heat Treatment, Machining, Shot Peening, Welding Technology, Diffusion Bonding/Coating, Non-Destructive Testing such as RT (Digital Radiography), Penetrant Testing (PT), or Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
Strong project management skills.
