Senior General Ledger Accountant
A MNC manufacturing company who operates a global shared service centre in Malaysia is looking for a career minded general ledger, senior accountant to be part of their team. You will be key member of their business and will report directly to the manager of the team.
Main responsibilities of the Senior Accountant, General Ledger
• Oversee general ledger operations i.e. month-end closing activities for assigned regional entities
• Preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly VAT/WHT reporting documents to the relevant authorities as required within stipulated deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and local regional requirements including but not limited to accounting, taxation, audit and secretarial matters. This will include working with external providers on the timely preparation and submission of annual statutory audited accounts, income tax reports, annual returns, AGM etc
• Perform monthly collection forecast and ensure meeting forecast
Key requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent
• Experience in a shared service environment
• Fluent and level working proficiency in English and Mandarin is mandatory as it is required for communication purposes
• Able to work independently and have a good eye for details
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
