Our client is a leading automotive parts manufacturer with a global presence. As part of their expansion, they are looking for an experienced Plant Operations Senior Manager for their Manufacturing division. This role will be based at Alor Gajah Industrial Estate, Melaka.
Key Responsibilities:
The effective management and control of production function (quality, cost & delivery) and operation.
Ensures the fulfillment of production targets at acceptable quality and cost.
Ensuring all manufacturing resources are fully and efficiently utilized according to company's manufacturing system standards.
Ensuring all products meet customer specifications and achieve the desired customer satisfaction.
Ensures all ancillary services including 4M in the production area, machinery, and tools, are properly maintained to ensure the safety and efficient running of the workplace.
Lead good housekeeping and 5s to promote quality awareness, a safe working environment, and enhance employee morale.
Ensures the proper planning of local and import raw materials, WIP, and Finish Goods are properly stored in the production area is in control.
Ensures effective implementation of quality system procedures.
Create, maintain and distribute the Production Master Schedule to forecast upcoming work following the master planning schedule from the PPCD department.
Coordinate job status and new project/program requirements throughout the plant.
Work with Production Engineering and Maintenance department to resolve bottlenecks, and work stoppages and manage the flow of materials and completion of work.
Coordinate with Purchasing and Operation team to resolve 4M issues and minimize adverse impact on deadlines.
Engage employees and communicate clearly and effectively. Coach, train, develop, counsel, and mentor all employees, regardless of role, reporting, or function.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by superior.
At least 6-8 years' experience or more in manufacturing, preferably for the automotive industry
Proven experience in managing manufacturing plant operation and production matters
Willing to work at and be based at Alor Gajah Industrial Estate, Melaka
Ability to speak/write Mandarin is an added advantage.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage different stakeholders.
