Team Leader Maintenance (Automotive)

Our client is a leading automotive manufacturing company, they are now looking for an experienced Senior Team Leader - Maintenance to join their team. This role requires 8 - 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years in a leadership role focusing on machine maintenance, troubleshooting and team management. 

 

Location to work: Sungai Buloh, Selangor 

 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure all machinery operates efficiently and reliably. 

• Plan, schedule, and assign maintenance tasks related to machinery and equipment. 

• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on machine breakdowns to minimize downtime. 

• Ensure all preventive and predictive maintenance activities are carried out according to schedule. 

• Monitor machine performance and recommend necessary improvements or modifications. 

• Ensure compliance with company policies and external safety regulations (DOSH, JBE, Safety Act, etc.). 

• Maintain proper documentation of machine maintenance activities, reports, and records. 

• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to optimize machine performance. 

• Manage and monitor the availability of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies. 

• Train and guide junior team members on proper machine maintenance techniques and best practices.

   

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus. 

• Minimum of 8-10 years in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, technologies, and quality control methodologies. 

• Excellent leadership and managerial skills. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

• Commitment to safety and quality assurance. 

• Primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring adherence to safety protocols. 

• May involve travel to other facilities or supplier locations as needed.
