Key Responsibilities for Technical Support Engineer
- Provide technical support to existing and new customers to ensure product functionality and feasibility for customer applications.
- Attend customers' molding evaluations to assist in optimizing processes for product manufacturability.
- Recommend suitable products and modify designs as needed for existing products.
- Support the Manufacturing Department in process improvement and problem-solving activities.
- Lead and support cross-functional teams in new product development and product transfer projects to ensure smooth transitions into production.
- Initiate, develop, and implement ideas to enhance product performance through participation in new product development and improvements to existing products.
- Establish product specifications, internal controls, packaging styles, and any special controls.
- Verify sample request information and monitor sample completion with NPI to ensure timely delivery of evaluation samples to customers.
- Oversee sample preparation from inception to delivery, providing necessary inputs such as formulation and production settings.
- Monitor and take appropriate actions to achieve new project realization plans, both externally with customers and internally across departments.
- Actively participate in design control activities including Quality Planning, APQP, FMEA, Design Review, and packaging/shelf-life studies.
- Ensure prompt responses to customer inquiries.
- Support internal evaluations for raw material End of Life (EOL), 4M changes, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and product launches aligned with Product Change Notifications (PCN) activities where applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Basic Technical understanding of various products.
- Willingness to travel domestically and overseas.
- Experience in communicates and coordinates with counterparts in Japan
- Proficiency in Japanese Language.
