Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with international suppliers and identify, assess, and choose new sources for electronic, plastic, and magnetic commodities, aligning with the strategies outlined by Group Commodity Managers.
- Implement effective supplier management practices, including RFQ processes, negotiations, and the qualification of suppliers.
- Handle communication with suppliers in case of claims, initiate non-conformance reports (NCR), coordinate the return of goods, and confirm receipt of compliant parts.
- Launch local resourcing initiatives with suppliers
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and suppliers to pinpoint opportunities for quality enhancements and cost reductions.
- Manage requests for quotations and proposals, facilitating the procurement of items.
- Evaluate quotes and proposals from suppliers and engage in negotiations as necessary to secure favorable pricing.
- Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies related to payment, services, or supply.
- Ensure the establishment and monitoring of commercial agreements, particularly addressing Price, Quality, Schedule, and Logistics conditions.
- Oversee the Purchasing Turnover, Budget, Spendmap analysis, and Performance KPIs for local direct purchasing.
- Enforce due diligence in adherence to Group Policies, Code of Conduct, Procedures, Global Terms & Conditions, and Confidentiality.
Job Requirements:
- Attain a Bachelor's Degree in a pertinent field of study
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in procuring direct materials
- Preferably, have experience in greenfield startup and line transfer
- Demonstrate soft skills such as international and multicultural exposure, adept and assertive negotiation abilities, meticulous and self-reliant work approach; be goal-oriented, well-organized, and familiar with the Malaysian market.
