In the advanced manufacturing industry, a leading company is seeking a Accounting Director. The job involves overseeing the company's accounting policies, financial reporting, and tax compliance, while also developing financial models and analyzing data for strategic planning. Key responsibilities include leading the annual budgeting process, preparing reports for senior management, identifying financial risks, and mentoring a team of finance professionals. A strong background in accounting, preferably with an MBA or CPA, and extensive experience in financial reporting within a manufacturing environment is required, along with proficiency in relevant software and excellent communication skills.

 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervise company accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, financial reporting, auditor relations, and tax compliance at all levels.
  • Create and maintain financial models for strategic planning and forecasting.
  • Evaluate financial data and performance metrics to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure accurate forecasts and budgets.
  • Track budget performance and conduct variance analysis to identify cost optimization and revenue growth opportunities.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify and assess financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks, and implement mitigation controls.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Take on additional roles and responsibilities as assigned by the company and immediate superior.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; MBA or CPA credentials are highly preferred.
  • Experience with a major public accounting firm is desirable.
  • At least 15 years of experience in financial and management reporting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting policies.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based PC software, especially Excel and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and independently prioritize multiple projects.
  • High attention to detail with a proven ability to drive and manage change.
