Job Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct safety audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment,

  • working practices or working condition.

  • Investigate accidents, complete or verify accident reports, and liaise with technical specialists and external health and safety authorities to identify the causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.

  • Facilitate EH&S related program, projects and meetings.

  • Recommend changes to working processes and conditions to ensure that all employees have a safe and healthy working environment, and that the organization complies with all current and future

  • regulations and laws and the organization’s safety policies and standards.

  • Educate and train the workforce on health and safety to ensure understanding and compliance

  • Monitor permits, licenses & statutory requirements.

  • Communicate with internal & external parties on relevant EH&S information 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in EHS. Certificate in occupational health and safety encouraged to apply.

  • Proven experience as EHS Officer with min of 3 years of experience in manufacturing industry.

  • In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures

  • Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices

  • Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety

  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics

  • Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus

  • Organizational skills

  • Diligent with great attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topic

  • MUST with Green Book holder
