Job Responsibilities:
Conduct safety audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment,
working practices or working condition.
Investigate accidents, complete or verify accident reports, and liaise with technical specialists and external health and safety authorities to identify the causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.
Facilitate EH&S related program, projects and meetings.
Recommend changes to working processes and conditions to ensure that all employees have a safe and healthy working environment, and that the organization complies with all current and future
regulations and laws and the organization’s safety policies and standards.
Educate and train the workforce on health and safety to ensure understanding and compliance
Monitor permits, licenses & statutory requirements.
Communicate with internal & external parties on relevant EH&S information
Job Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in EHS. Certificate in occupational health and safety encouraged to apply.
Proven experience as EHS Officer with min of 3 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures
Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
Organizational skills
Diligent with great attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topic
