Job Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management: Manage and lead the manufacturing team, including production operators and technicians. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to team members.
- Production Scheduling: Develop and oversee production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to production targets.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to maintain high product quality standards. Ensure that all products meet specifications and quality requirements.
- Engineering Team Leadership: Lead the engineering team to high levels of performance and ensure effective and efficient project management processes, ensuring the voice of the customer is inherent in all design efforts.
- Safety Protocols: Promote and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct safety audits and investigations as necessary.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and work with the inventory control team to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager to implement efficiency-enhancing measures.
- Training and Development: Oversee training and development of manufacturing personnel, including cross-training to ensure a versatile workforce.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed to prevent downtime.
- Budget Management: Manage the manufacturing budget by controlling costs, optimizing resource allocation, and minimizing waste.
- Cross-functional Communication: Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Engineering, and Maintenance, to ensure a seamless production process.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Operations Management) or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 8 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety procedures. Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems)
