JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guide the design and development of fire protection systems, which include sprinklers, fire alarms, smoke control, emergency exits, fire pumps, and gas suppression systems.
- Creating designs, calculations, sketches, and/or diagrams to assist in the prevention or spread of fire
- Ensure that all project specifications and regulatory requirements are met while overseeing fire protection projects from concept to completion in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Perform fire risk assessments for buildings and facilities, identifying potential fire hazards and proposing effective fire protection measures.
- Ensure that fire protection systems adhere to local and international fire safety regulations and standards, including NFPA, BS, EN, and local codes..
- Provide technical guidance and guarantee the delivery of high-quality projects by supervising and mentoring a team of fire protection workers and technicians.
- Ensure that fire protection systems are properly integrated into building designs by working in conjunction with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure that fire protection systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with regulatory requirements and design specifications.
- Ensure the long-term functionality and reliability of fire protection systems by establishing and supervising routine maintenance and inspection schedules.
- Prepare and evaluate technical specifications, compliance reports, and drawings that pertain to fire protection systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering, with experience managing large-scale fire safety projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Able to speak Mandarin.
