JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Station in PJ, Selangor, and handle accounting tasks for India.
Assist the Head of Accounting and Head of Finance Cluster with various accounting processes and tasks, providing analysis and resolving operational issues as needed.
Collaborate with the business to provide advice on daily and complex accounting matters, especially during business process changes, with support from external consultants if necessary.
Coordinate with the commercial team on financial matters and provide analysis to the business and group as required.
Oversee the entire audit process from planning to completion, including final audit close and AFS sign-off.
Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS and/or local GAAP, with access to external consultants for complex issues.
Lead and execute monthly financial book closing processes, ensuring timely and high-quality group reporting.
Calculate and post key provisions and accruals in collaboration with business teams.
Identify and lead initiatives for process improvement and development, engaging team members for unified efforts.
Collaborate with colleagues globally to share experiences and support transformation initiatives.
Monitor and follow up on the quality and efficiency of global processes and KPIs.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Bachelors of Degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent
8 years of equivalent experience, added advantage to be from automotive industry
Had experience working with India accounting or finance environment (i.e. Audit/tax)
Must be proficient in India Local GAAPs.
Experience or knowledge of tax system and accounting practices in India market (added advantage)
Added advantage to be proficient in Ms Office applications, SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and SharePoint
