Job Responsibilities
Oversee a portfolio of clients and projects, leading teams to deliver tax services such as corporate tax planning, tax audits, and investigations.
Monitor and analyze updates in direct (income tax) and indirect (Sales & Services Tax) tax laws, and prepare technical circulars or articles for staff and clients.
Assist in creating presentation slides for tax webinars, including monthly tax updates, real estate property gains tax, company tax, transfer pricing, and sales & services tax.
Provide detailed technical advice on tax-related inquiries from staff and clients.
Communicate with the Inland Revenue Board and Royal Malaysian Customs Department on tax matters.
Job Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a focus on Taxation, or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA Australia, CTIM, ICAEW, or equivalent.
At least 3 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough research on tax issues.
Strong knowledge and experience in all areas of tax advisory.
Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
Candidates must be proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
