Assistant Finance Manager
A public listed company in Bayan Lepas is looking for assistant finance manager to be part of their team. You will be a key part of helping the business to oversee financial activities within organization.
Main responsibilities of the Assistant Finance Manager role
- Review and maintain financial, costing, and accounting records, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements of MFRS/FRS.
- Prepare financial and management reports, GST/SST returns, budgeting and cash flow projections, and business analysis, with an emphasis on timeliness and accuracy.
- Develop value-added analysis focusing on cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
- Liaise with internal and external parties, including financial institutions, auditors, tax agents, tax authorities, company secretaries, and government bodies, for statutory and legislative requirements.
- Proactively identify key issues and opportunities, making value-added recommendations to management on financial and non-financial matters.
- Undertake other ad-hoc corporate assignments as required by management from time to time.
Key requirements
- A degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or an equivalent field.
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Essential familiarity with local accounting standards and taxation laws.
- High level of computer literacy, especially with spreadsheets.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to cultivate a disciplined and efficient departmental culture.
- Resourceful, proactive, and dynamic personality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet job demands.
Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required.
