One of the largest Highway Concessionarie in Malaysia are looking for experienced Chief Resident Engineer to add value to lead a highway construction project and be based in Kuala Lumpur
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management:
- Provide strategic leadership and establish project plans, timetables, budgets, and resource allocations to guarantee efficient delivery within limitations.
Quality and Construction Supervision:
- Oversee the supervision of works for the project construction, including earthworks, road pavement, structures, drainage, and utilities
- To ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements for C&S and M&E
- Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits, and compliance checks to verify the quality of construction, adherence to standards, and implementation of best practices.
- Review and approve claims by subcontractors, construction methodologies, work procedures, materials, and equipment to maintain project quality and integrity.
Safety & Compliance:
- Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations to reduce construction and site risks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, permits, and approvals governing the highway project, including environmental, safety, and quality standards.
Stakeholder Engagement & Contract management
- Act as the main contact for clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders, developing constructive relationships, addressing issues, and resolving conflicts.
- Track and manage project expenses, expenditures, and financial performance, applying cost-control measures and change management processes as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Professional Engineer (PE) .
- Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) is preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in civil engineering and construction management with experience in expressway/highway projects.
