COMPANY OVERVIEW
One of the largest Highway Concessionarie in Malaysia are looking for experienced Chief Resident Engineer to add value to lead a highway construction project and be based in Kuala Lumpur
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management:
Provide strategic leadership and establish project plans, timetables, budgets, and resource allocations to guarantee efficient delivery within limitations.
Quality and Construction Supervision:
Oversee the supervision of works for the project construction, including earthworks, road pavement, structures, drainage, and utilities
To ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements for C&S and M&E
Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits, and compliance checks to verify the quality of construction, adherence to standards, and implementation of best practices.
Review and approve claims by subcontractors, construction methodologies, work procedures, materials, and equipment to maintain project quality and integrity.
Safety & Compliance:
Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations to reduce construction and site risks.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, permits, and approvals governing the highway project, including environmental, safety, and quality standards.
Stakeholder Engagement & Contract management
Act as the main contact for clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders, developing constructive relationships, addressing issues, and resolving conflicts.
Track and manage project expenses, expenditures, and financial performance, applying cost-control measures and change management processes as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Professional Engineer (PE) .
Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) is preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience in civil engineering and construction management with experience in expressway/highway projects.
