ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client, a global group focused on sustainability and innovation with over 100 years of history and a presence in more than 100 countries are seeking talent as a Credit controller to be based in Shah Alam. You will be responsible for managing credit accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining strong relationships with clients for both Malaysia and Singapore.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage credit control for assigned accounts in Malaysia and Singapore, including after-sales, parts, and contract debt collection.
- Implement credit policies to optimize collection efforts and reduce overdue debt.
- Ensure timely and effective debt collection.
- Take necessary actions against overdue accounts, including negotiating payment and restructuring plans with customers.
- Meet with customers periodically to discuss and plan actions for recovering overdue debts.
- Handle and resolve customer queries professionally.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with customers to support smooth financial operations.
- Provide detailed account reconciliations and report on account status and collection activities.
- Analyze financial data and provide necessary information and analysis as required.
- Work in accordance with the organizations credit policies to maximize collection and minimize overdue debt.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum diploma in any field with sound knowledge of the asset based finance industry.
- Relevant experience in credit control or a related financial role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasive skills.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proactive, resourceful, and a resilient team player.
Willing to be based in Shah Alam.
