A leading plantation group is recruiting for a General Manager, Plantation to lead and strategies all the plantation operations and improvement initiatives for their Indonesia's palm oil plantation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Company within the common rules and policies lay down by the Company and Indonesian law
Manage the estate and oil mill efficiently and with good agricultural practice
Ensure the palm oil mill runs safely and productively within specifications and with budget
Ensure the estate run with optimum cost and within budget and with best agronomist practice
To raise CAPEX for all capital expenditure (approved in the budget) and prepare the annual budget
Liaise with local authorities on all the government approvals including immigration matters
Responsible for all human resource functions and to keep the Board of Directors informed of any serious issues or potential disputes
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Mechanical/ Plantations/Agricultural Science, or related field of study
Minimum of 20 years of experience in the plantation sector
Efficient, strong work ethics – able to work in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of processes required for developing and monitoring strategic plans
Possess high level of independence, integrity, self-motivation, result oriented and the drive to excel
Display strong leadership ability and possesses excellent inter-personal skills
