This company is a major player in the repair of aircraft parts, they provide unrivalled cost-efficient repairs with market benchmark quality. They are looking for a Section Manager - Production Tooling & Planning to join their team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Engineering or its equivalent
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a similar capacity
- Experienced in project management will be an added advantage
- Required Skill(s): Interpret Engineering / Technical Drawing, MSA, GD&T and GR&R
- Good knowledge of tooling fabrication process
- Good knowledge in Production Planning
- Strong analytical ability
- Good team player with leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and excellent time management capabilities
- Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain tool drawings control procedures and record of tooling list
- Improve tooling management process and production planning process to be lean, efficient and effective
- Coordinate with suppliers in procuring of duplicate tools and fixtures
- Coordinate with suppliers with regards to repair of failed calibration tools and fixtures
- Coordinate and supervise commissioning and acceptance of new tools and repair tools
- Ensure all required tools and standard equipment are calibrated within the set time frame and in accordance with the technical specifications
- Create and maintain production schedules by determine daily and weekly schedule based on customer requests, contracted TAT, manpower qualification, equipment availabilities and capacities
- Notify Customer Support of any schedule change impacted delivery plan
- Prepare analysis and statistical data on TAT and OTD performance
- Comply and support Environmental Health & Safety policies, rules and regulations at all times
- Perform any other tasks as assigned
