A global leader in printing inks, pigments, and advanced materials is on the lookout for a dynamic Assistant Sales Manager to spearhead market penetration in the Northern Region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and a deep understanding of printing inks, pigments, and advanced materials. 

Main responsibilities of the Assistant Sales Manager role:
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies, including prospecting and follow-up methodologies.
  • Meet personal and team sales targets through negotiation and deal closure.
  • Service existing customers, generate and develop new accounts, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and assess customer needs.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current market information on pricing, products, new offerings, delivery schedules, and customer service levels.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly, investigate issues, and provide appropriate solutions within set time limits, ensuring follow-up for resolution.
  • Manage inventory to ensure sufficient stock levels to support sales activities.
  • Compile and analyze customer satisfaction reports, prepare sales reports, and make recommendations to management as needed.
  • Collaborate with the sales team, production, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Requirements:
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Chemistry, Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the ink, coating, or printing industries.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to interpret sales data and translate it into business strategies.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, urgency, and commitment to meeting deadlines efficiently.
  • Results-oriented and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with good presentation skills.
  • Effective leadership, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proactive, responsible, and a strong team player.
  • Own vehicle and willingness to travel as required.
