A listed multinational Japanese corporation with a global presence and over 150 offices worldwide is seeking a self-driven ERP Sales Assistant Manager to be based in Klang with a willingness to travel, to capitalize on the organization’s solutions to build strong pipelines and drive sales in the manufacturing industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas set by the project manager.
- Support the execution of sales and marketing plans and manage opportunity pipelines.
- Drive and maintain a high level of weekly sales activity.
- Quickly assess opportunities and establish key strategic positions with new prospects.
- Cultivate and manage relationships at executive, operational, and IT levels.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of products, services, and the manufacturing market.
- Manage sales cycles effectively to secure positive references from satisfied customers.
- Apply sales methodologies to generate interest, identify critical business needs, propose solutions, and justify ROI.
- Support in qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities.
- Identify potential partnerships with other organizations through joint ventures, acquisitions, or investments.
- Identify new opportunities through participation in trade shows, conferences, and similar events.
- Manage expectations during sales cycles to ensure satisfied customers who can serve as positive references for future prospects.
- Develop innovative solutions that address critical business needs and align with client objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor's degree in any field.
- Experience in SaaS sales with a deep understanding of sales principles, including demand and lead generation.
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets, in addition to identifying, qualifying and closing sales opportunities.
- Proven capability in business development/consultancy with strong network and connections within the manufacturing industry at all levels
- Familiarity with manufacturing terminology and processes such as ERP, Engineering, BOM, estimating, sales order processing, MRP, work orders, production planning, scheduling, inventory management, purchasing, accounting, and supply chain management.
- Tech savvy with skills in MS Office applications, Sales Force Automation, and web meeting tools.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective business, sales and marketing plans with strong follow-up skills and ability to implement successful sales processes.
- Willingness to travel 30% - 50% domestically and flexibility in work schedule.
- Established contacts within the manufacturing marketplace to aid in building a sales pipeline.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
