Main responsibilities of the Operation Manager role:
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide strategic leadership to the operations team, including production managers, engineers, supervisors, and line workers.
- Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the plant.
- Operational Oversight:
- Supervise daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring adherence to production schedules, timely product delivery, and effective execution of engineering projects and production planning.
- Monitor key metrics and KPIs across manufacturing, engineering, production planning, and QC to identify improvement areas and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with planning and logistics departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective inventory management.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all products meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Implement and uphold quality control processes and procedures.
- Work with the quality assurance team to resolve quality issues and establish preventive measures.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies.
- Lead initiatives to minimize waste, boost productivity, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Foster a safe working environment and lead safety training programs.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Budget and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the operations budget, covering labor, materials, overhead, etc.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Prepare regular financial and operational reports for senior management.
- Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and offer coaching to team members.

Main Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of manufacturing operations experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the equipment fabrication industry.
- Strong strategic thinking and expertise in equipment fabrication, production management, and process improvement.
- Proven track record in implementing lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and other manufacturing software.
- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing preferred.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
