JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for engineering aspects of any related repair component within the product portfolio and support to New Product Introduction (NPI) programs
- Update and implement repair scopes into client existing repair capability
- Prepare written instructions and procedures for the individual repairs and publish for production use
- Develop and compile repair documentation according to approved engineering data
- Optimize existing repair procedures to improve in-process rejection and rework
- Evaluate and to update applicable changes from revised OEM Manual and to incorporate it into the internal company work instructions e.g. Process Instructions, Special Instructions, etc
- Perform and supervise First Article Inspections (FAI)
- Support production in identifying the root cause and its solution to customer complaints or potential complaints
- Support production to overcome problems during its FAI and NPI introduction; and ramp-up period
- Communicate with OEM on all engineering topics, vendors with regards to any engineering task or component repair, shareholders and respective Engineers
- Comply and support Environmental Health & Safety policies, rules and regulations at all times
- Perform other technical tasks as assigned by the superior or any other person as designated
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or its equivalent
- Minimum 1 year working experience in Maintenance Repair and Overhaul within an aviation environment is an added advantage
- Able to read technical material, develop analysis and make recommendations
- Good knowledge and experience in one or more of the following processes preferred: TIG Welding, Plasma Spray, Heat Treatment, Machining, Shot Peening, Welding Technology or Diffusion bonding/coating, Non-Destructive Test: RT (Digital Radiography) or Penetrant Testing (PT) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) methodology
- Knowledge of continuous improvement, quality management and lean principles
- Initiative, analytical and self-motivated
- Able to work independently and prioritize workload to meet project timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Bahasa Melayu
- Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
