A leading global manufacturer of memory module printed circuit boards and semiconductor packaging substrates is looking to hire a Japanese Speaking Yield Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and improve production yield by identifying key loss factors and implementing corrective actions.
Conduct statistical analysis to detect trends, patterns, and anomalies affecting yield performance.
Utilize problem-solving methodologies (4M+1E, 5 Whys, DMAIC, 8D, DOE) for root cause analysis and defect prevention.
Provide technical recommendations to mitigate defects and enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Collaborate with the Quality team to strengthen defect detection and prevention strategies.
Participate in process FMEA and risk assessments for process optimization and continuous improvement.
Evaluate inspection and test results (AOI, ICT, functional tests) to identify yield-impacting trends.
Present findings and strategic improvement plan to management and cross-functional teams.
Support various projects and initiatives as directed by leadership.
Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
Job Requirements
Diploma or higher qualification. Minimum 5 years of experience required for Diploma holders, while Degree holders can apply without prior experience.
Experience with SPC, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), and DOE methodologies.
Familiarity with processes including etching, drilling, plating, solder mask application, AOI, and E-test.
Strong proficiency in yield analysis tools such as Minitab, JMP, Excel, and Power BI.
Competence in techniques such as SEM, X-ray inspection, cross-sectioning, and microscopy.
Fluent in Japanese.
