COMPANY OVERVIEW
A multinational chemical company specializing in the formulation, sales, and distribution of polyurethane chemicals is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual for the position of Finance and Accounting Manager in Subang Jaya. The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and implementing efficient accounting and financial management processes. This role involves financial planning, budgeting, reporting, tax compliance, and risk management to support business objectives.
JOB RESPONBILTIES
Financial Management & Reporting:
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards.
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Develop and manage the company’s annual budget.
Monitor financial performance and variances against budgets.
Provide recommendations for cost optimization.
Accounting Operations:
Supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
Ensure proper financial controls and reconciliation processes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Taxation & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including corporate tax, SST/GST, and withholding tax.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability.
Manage banking relationships and optimize treasury functions.
Develop strategies to improve cash flow efficiency.
Internal Controls & Risk Management:
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
Provide training and guidance to enhance team performance.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial processes.
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies.
Support business growth initiatives through financial planning and analysis.
Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., Sage, SAP).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to speak Mandarin is an advantage.
Possess own transport.
